Campus Mentor
Robert Koop
Ministry Information
Robert has been serving with the Navigators staff at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon since 2011 and currently serves as Associate Staff at the U of S.
Robert is married to Ruth Ann, and together they have three adult children and three grandchildren, all of whom live in Saskatoon. Before joining the Navigators, Robert pastored two churches over several years. He believes this ministry experience has been pivotal in helping him come alongside university students.
Discipling university students from Canada and around the world is both an amazing opportunity and a significant challenge. Robert is delighted to serve alongside David Matson, the campus leader, as they invest in the lives of students and help them grow in their faith.
Marketplace Mentor
While working part-time as a truck driver at a building supply centre, Robert and a co-worker established a discipleship ministry for the men at their workplace. Although Robert and his co-worker no longer work there, the ministry continues to reach many different men.
Their discipleship approach includes weekly group meetings, one-to-one mentoring, and triad meetings. Helping men apply their faith in Christ to every area of their lives is a great joy for Robert. He is passionate about seeing people grow in their relationship with Christ and live out their faith in practical ways.
