Liana Flanagan
Biography
Liana moved to Vancouver in March of this year with her husband, Hamish, and three gorgeous children. Originally from New Zealand, Liana and Hamish moved to Canada in 2007 and lived there until 2018. During that time Liana served on campus with the Navigators of Canada at the University of Victoria in a part-time role alongside her conventional work as a speech and language pathologist. Upon moving back to New Zealand, Liana worked for the New Zealand Navigators for 5 years leading the work among graduates/20s and serving on the NLT. Liana met the Navigators as a student at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand but it was the faithful presence of Navigators staff in her life after graduation that really helped her to grow her faith and to grasp the vision of the Navigators. Largely because of the help she received in those formative early years of working life, Liana has a passion to encourage people to walk with Jesus and to make disciples in the context of everyday life and in the workplace. Liana will be coming back on staff with the Navigators of Canada in a part-time role while also continuing her conventional work as a speech and language pathologist. She will be helping with the Wave intern program, contributing as a member of the Everyday Disciplemaker Advancement Steering Team (EDAST) and serving on the NLT.
