A NAVIGATOR INTERNSHIP – IT’S A CALLING!

Note: Applications are due by March 1st

A Navigator internship is designed to give you a hands-on learning experience in the nature of vocational ministry. We will equip you with the skills and disciplines necessary to help others grow in their faith, draw closer to God, join God in mission and become more like Jesus. Our goal is that by the end of this internship, you will be better equipped to follow Jesus wherever he might lead you.

You’ll learn to:

Guide people to experience a deep, ongoing connection with Jesus

Intentionally mentor people while giving them an example of real-life faith as you serve others, and model your life devoted to Jesus.

Engage people in relational ways with the life-giving Word

Help people engage with the life-giving Word, in community, through intentional spiritual mentoring and guidance, and to provide a safe place to explore big questions about faith and help them grow as their perspectives are both appreciated and challenged.

Remain faithfully present with people as you go through life with them

Practice the art of being faithfully present with people through many circumstances, being part of a consistent, Bible-informed support network in their lives as they grow and their faith faces new challenges.

Equip people to pass along their faith and become a guide to others

Help people experience meaningful community and equip them through spiritual disciplines to live out their faith authentically and guide others to the transformative power of Jesus.

You’ll also learn to trust God in fundraising. All of our field staff are funded through “deputized fundraising,” meaning you will be responsible for fundraising on behalf of The Navigators to support your budget. This may sound daunting, but we will provide practical training, excellent written resources, and someone to coach you on your fundraising goals and plan. You will learn to share your calling and mission with friends, family and other contacts as you invite them to prayerfully and financially support your ministry.

Choosing to serve in this role is an adventure of trusting God each step of the way. We’re in this together. Your team will be there to support you, committed to fostering your spiritual, personal and professional growth.

Is God calling you to serve Jesus in this way?
