Tidal Wave (Fall Retreat)
Tidal Wave a weekend away to connect with others and encounter God and what better way than to escape to Mayne Island!
This Fall we are focusing on the theme "Treasures in Jars of Clay", as Paul refers to us in 2 Corinthians 4. Clay jars are fragile, often cracked, and chip easily, which we can relate to. So, what are the treasures that God has placed in us? And what is our part and what is God's part in seeing these Jars of Clay stand up to the tests and storms of life? How can we be our very best for God for the long haul?
Tidal Wave is more than just a retreat—it’s a chance to taste and see what life with the UBC Navigators is like all year long. Whether you're brand new or already part of our Navs community, this weekend offers a glimpse into the people, rhythms, and purpose that shape our community.
The registration fee covers your ferry ticket, lodging, and meals (from Friday night snack through Sunday lunch). Friday dinner is not covered, you can bring a packed dinner or purchase food onboard. We depart Friday at 6:30 PM from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, so a departure group will leave UBC before 5 PM. We will arrive back at Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal on Sunday at 5:30 PM.
First-years at UBC! You get a special discounted rate of $125—just email us at richies@navigators.ca for the code.
There’ll be space to connect with others, hear from God, and get excited about the year ahead. Plus, we'll have a whole lot of fun!
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to start the year, this is it. Come be part of Tidal Wave—we’d love to have you there!
(If cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we don’t want finances to stop anyone from coming.)
