Campus Intern
Aaliyah Tubby
Biography
I grew up in rural Ontario Canada and will soon finish my linguistics degree with a concentration of psycholinguistics and communication disorder at Carleton University. I found Jesus at a young age through Sunday School and fell in love with God very quickly. This grew my passion to discover Him through Scripture, prayer and sharing the Good News with friends. Graduating high school in the height of COVID shook my faith and I felt lost figuring out how to tend to my relationship with God. When I moved for university a year and a half later, I lived across the street from a church where the campus director for the Carleton Navigators attend. I got connected with campus group and immediately sensed the belonging I craved. I have been involved in various student leadership roles over the years which allowed me to serve students at Carleton in various ways. I have had the opportunity to disciple people in Canada but to hear God calling me into ministry in a different country is something I was not expecting.
I heard God call me to New Zealand to disciple the students at Auckland University and I could not be more excited to see how He is going to use and grow me as I walk alongside His people there. I am looking forward to working alongside Kiwis in their walk with God for 2025-2026!
I am really into hiking, different art projects like embroidery, making social media posts/videos and baking. I am really looking forward to trying surfing when I move because I’ll live close to the ocean!
