Brian French

Biography

Brian grew up on a farm in rural Eastern Ontario. He loves people, playing the piano, fishing, basketball, and just about anything related to farming. After attending a leadership development program at Camp IAWAH at the age of 14, he realized how wonderfully important it is to be walking through life with other people who will point you to Jesus. These dear friends reminded him that he is a beloved child of God, and that nothing can separate us from His love.

This experience has directed many of his experiences since; including serving on staff for 6 summers at Camp IAWAH, helping to lead the InterVarsity group at Lakehead University, working with volunteers at the Ottawa Food Bank's farm, and now entering into an internship with the Navigators. He is an Environmental Management graduate from Lakehead University and Fleming College's Sustainable Agriculture program.

Honest, authentic community has had a profound impact on how he views his faith, and restored his relationship with the Lord during a time where he felt distant and rejected. He feels called to foster Christ-centred community that allows for honest questioning, unhindered worship, and a deep sense of fellowship with the Lord, each other, and creation.
