Biography
My first introduction to The Navigators occurred in 1974, when our church hired a Christian Education director who had Navigator training. Bill and his wife Ellen ministered deeply and personally into both Eric's and my life and we began learning the value of one on one discipling and the impact that practical application of the Word of God can have.
Over the years it has been a joy to carry on the value of personal discipleship with other women as I've gone through the stages of motherhood and helping others learn that discipleship (and caring for the whole person) can be done - even with babies crawling on the floor or teens needing immediate attention. God is a part of it all, and fully understands 'life'.
We have 4 adult children, and 7 marvelous grandchildren (all grandsons), spread from Toronto all the way to Los Angeles, California!
Ministry Information
"Ministry flows from my walk with God." That is a firm conviction that I have - which means that it doesn't matter what I do, where I serve, I am always in a position of ministering to others. For many years I have ministered with The Navigators as an active volunteer - Bible studies, conferences, workshops, etc. I recently (Feb. 2015) finished 10 years of working in the realm of philanthropy (fundraising) and donor relations corporately with The Navigators of Canada. Some of this work revolved around coaching our staff in fundraising, which was a delight to do.
This led to my decision to refocus for this next stage of life and I am now pursuing further specific coach training with Coach U, seeking to continue contributing to people's lives through coaching - whether life, career, or in the spiritual (Christian) realm.
