Navigators Church Ministry
Disciplemaking Forum
The Disciplemaking Forum (DF) is a weekly online gathering to learn about simple approaches to disciplemaking. Developing and equipping everyday disciplemakers is critical to the mission of the local church. If you don't disciple someone - who will? We know disciplemaking can seem intimidating. So often people get the idea that you must be a pastor, seminary graduate, or ministry professional to make disciples. But the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom advances most powerfully through everyday people living like Jesus wherever they go— neighbourhood, work, play or church.
In Walk With Me - author Bill Mowry teaches us how to break out of a programmatic, goal-oriented mindset and get back to the New Testament model of relational, intentional disciplemaking with these five principles:
- We walk heart to heart.
- We walk simple.
- We walk slow.
- We walk deep.
- We walk on mission.
During each session you will be accompanied by one of our Navigator coaches within a cohort of peers. These are times of sharing insights, additional resources, and building next steps to put these principles into action. Each session is approximately 60 to 75 minutes.
Our next DF runs weekly beginning on Wednesday, January 21 and ending on March 4, 2026. Session are at 7PM ET, however if there is enough interest 7 PM PT sessions may run. After completing this registration, you will receive an email with details on how to indicate if you prefer 7 PM PT (Pacific Time) sessions.
Cost: $40 (includes the book). Please register by Friday, January 16, 2026

What previous participants have to say...
Discipleship doesn't have to be complicated; it's often slow, seemingly simple, walking in step with the other person as equals. It strips down the "how" of ministry - less about knowledge transfer and more about ways to be present in people's lives. The forum is very good, with leaders providing relevant experience gained over a lifespan of discipleship. (Donna C.)
It's been so encouraging and a blessing to me personally and also enlightening some key principles about disciplemaking. It's all about putting the words into action and incorporating it, centered around Jesus as our role model. (Joshua C.)
The course itself is quite interesting, simple but effective. I especially like the action steps that we are asked to do between meetings, keeping us engaged and accountable. Highly recommended. (Nettie T.)
The Navigators course is excellent- it is simple and very practical. A key concept under spiritual sight is to observe and go slowly with walking with others, waiting for the Holy Spirit to bring the right time for appropriate spiritual questions. (Linda F.)
