Join us at Waupoos Family Farm

Waupoos Family Farm offers respite to those who need it most. Open to low-income families, Waupoos provides a family camp experience away from the pressures of daily life. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming community environment where families can find rest, fellowship, and hope. The farm is supported by The Waupoos Foundation, a Christ-centered community whose mandate is to integrate prayer, work, and play into their service of families in need.

Carleton Navs Fall Retreat

One element of transformation into Christlikeness is recognizing the image we have of God in our minds. This is crucial in our journey of faith. Author Ralph Waldo Emerson spoke to this when he said, “It behooves us to be careful what we worship, for what we are worshiping we are becoming.” Over the weekend, we will have the opportunity to unpack our personal beliefs about God and exchange them for the God that Jesus reveals. You might even walk away saying, “Wow! God is better than I thought.”

Another element of the life of faith that helps us to become more like Jesus is by becoming present to the God who is present to us. This might sound lofty and out of reach, but trust us, it can be practical too! Over the weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to hear about and experiment with becoming present to the God who is faithfully preset to you.

Transportation

We plan to meet at the Carleton Athletics parking lot at 4:30pm to carpool a short distance to the retreat center. If you are able to drive please let Emily know how many you can take in your vehicle. We will return back to Carleton Athletics by noon on the Sunday.

Accommodations

We will have use of various cottages during our time at the retreat center. Each person will have a bed, but please plan on bringing our own bedding or sleeping bag. If that will be a challenge for you, please let Emily or one of the staff know so we can help you find a solution.

Cost

The whole weekend will cost $70 and includes dinner on Friday night, three meals on Saturday, as well as breakfast on Sunday. And of course, snacks! Scholarships are available if you can’t pay the full cost of the retreat. Please reach out to Emily, Vicky or Gerdion if the cost would be a barrier for you to join.
