Jean-Marc Gretillat
Biography
Jean-Marc and Sylvie live in Quebec City and, apart from the trips to Africa and Europe, are involved in a local ministry. They have four grown sons, three daughters-in-law, each following the Lord. They also have six very handsome grandchildren.
Ministry Information
Jean-Marc Gretillat was born in Switzerland and trained as a forest engineer. He became involved with The Navigators at UBC in 1969 and was part of the initial team to Quebec in 1973 where he was first responsible to open the ministry at the University of Sherbrooke.
Subsequently he and his wife Sylvie pioneered the ministry at the University of Montreal. In 1985 he started traveling to Africa and became the Country Opener for Zaire (actual D.R. Congo) and then for Congo Brazzaville. From 2001 to 2011 his role was to supervise The Navigator ministry in the Francophone zone of Africa where The Navigators have a ministry in ten countries. Since then he continues to be a trainer and support staff for Francophone Africa and he and his wife have a ministry in Quebec, in France and in Switzerland.
