The Navigators of Canada

Basecamp 2026

Are you ready for Basecamp 2026? Experience the vibrancy of community as we gather to seek God – in morning stillness by the lake, in worship together and in authentic friendships that ground us in something deeper.

This year's theme is Humbly Rooted – discovering what it means to be planted firmly in Christ, with roots that grow deep. One generation will tell the next how flourishing and fruitfulness can be our reality because of God’s promises for His people. Vic and Lindy Black will share their stories of God’s faithfulness and their practical wisdom for walking humbly with Christ for a lifetime.

As Navigator students from across Canada gather, we'll seek God personally and collectively—in Scripture, prayer, sessions and conversations. We'll wrestle with what following Jesus looks like in our everyday lives.

And yes, we’ll have fun together! Games, a dance party, time by the fire and much more!. We will celebrate and enjoy the vibrancy of life together.

Come ready to belong. Come ready to be equipped. Come ready to put down roots.

Featuring

Vic Black

After serving 21 years as Navigator Collegiate Staff, I became National Prayer Director of The Navigators. I had the privilege of serving our staff in God Focused Prayer. In our national leadership community, with leaders in every mission, from collegiate and military to cities, I partnered, prayed with and engaged with them in carrying out their leadership roles through seeking God. In our field ministries, I served by leading prayer retreats, teaching, and leading developmental workshops that explored prayer from a biblical basis. Essentially, my pleasure is to take people deeper in relationship with Jesus in fresh and creative ways. In 2016, I transitioned to Associate Director of Nations Within Mission. We ministered to culturally unassimilated people groups, particularly refugees and immigrants. I currently serve on the U.S. Leadership Team as the Strategic Prayer Lead with an emphasis on God Focused Prayer. I’ve been on staff with The Navigators for forty-six years. My wife, Lindy, and I love hiking and exploring the Rocky Mountains, playing games, and eating good food. We have three grown children, all married, and we have 13 grandchildren.

Lindy Black

Lindy and her husband, Vic, have been on staff with The Navigators for 45 years. They served on three college campuses in the southeast. In 2003, Lindy began as Associate Director of the Collegiate Mission. Since then, she has served as Associate U.S. Field Director, Transition U.S. Field Director, and Associate U.S. Director. Lindy currently serves in leader development of current and future national and international leaders. She serves on the Board of Directors of The Navigators and Trueface. Vic and Lindy have been married for 48 years. They have three married children and thirteen grandchildren (ranging from 4 to 20). Lindy loves to hike mountains with Vic, spend time with their kids and grandkids, read, and go out to eat with friends.
