Join us at Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp

Silver Lake Wesleyan Camp is a Christian Camp near Perth, Ontario (about an hour southwest of Ottawa) that is owned by the Central Canada District of the Wesleyan Church of Canada. We run camps and retreats, and host many other groups who do the same.

Carleton Navigators Fall Retreat 2025: Resurrection Life

Come join us for a weekend retreat at Silver Lake Camp! We’ll have a chance to build community around the Scriptures, over meals, and outdoors as we explore living in the Resurrection Life!

Jesus died and rose from the dead. Now what? What does it mean to live in the resurrection life with Jesus? Over the weekend we will explore the power of the gospel and the hope that Jesus' resurrection brings with local pastor, Luis Ros.

When you're not in session you can expect chances to connect with God on your own, to explore nature, and connect with others through group games and shared meals. Friday snack through Sunday breakfast will be provided.

Transportation

We plan to meet at Carleton Athletics parking lot at 4:30pm (please eat dinner beforehand or bring something on the road as we will only have an evening snack once at the camp). We will carpool from Carleton Athletics to the retreat centre (1.5-2 hour drive). If you are over 21 and able to drive please let Shelby and Mandy know how many people you can take in your vehicle. We will return back to Carleton Athletics by 1:00pm on the Sunday.

Accommodations

We will have various heated cabins during our time at the retreat centre. Each person will have a bed, please plan on bringing your own bedding or sleeping bag. If that will be a challenge for you, please let Shelby or Mandy know so we can help you find a solution.

Assumption of Risk

I am aware that participation in the above-noted activities has inherent risks including but not limited to: terrain, weather, equipment, remoteness, travel, training, contact, exertion, illness, diet, other dangers and hazards, as well as negligence of other program participants or the Navigators of Canada and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers or its legal agents. I understand these could result in personal injury, death, property damage and loss. I voluntarily assume any risks associated with these activities. I will act in accordance with the Navigators and the facility's practices, procedures and risk assessments.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims

In consideration of The Navigators of Canada allowing me to participate in its activities,

  • I hereby release, waive and discharge The Navigators of Canada and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers or its legal agents from all liability for all loss, damage, injury or death to my person or my personal property injury arising from any cause whatsoever, even if caused by the negligence of the Navigators.
