Born in the bayous of Louisiana, I spent my first seven years growing up in the southern United States before my family moved to Canada in 2000 to help plant a church in the GTA. Later, in 2005, we moved to Milton, ON so my dad could take on the role of lead pastor with The Sanctuary Milton. In 2010, I first became involved with the Navigators through the McMaster campus group. The next year I transfered to Carleton University to pursue a degree in Journalism. I became involved with the Navigator group in Ottawa and served as the student president during my 3rd and 4th years. In my last year I helped the student executive team prepare for the leadership transition when Chris Barrett was appointed National Director. In May 2014 I joined the Navigators as the Communications Correspondent and Web Writer, a position I have remained in ever since.
