Biography

Naomi met the Navigators at the University of Calgary in 2024 during her third year of her combined Math and Education degree. Although she grew up in a Christian home and made her faith her own later in her teens, the past few years have been a season of learning what it truly means to live for Christ. She was deeply impacted by the humility, warmth, intentionality, and community she experienced through the Navigators. Their call to know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same especially stood out to her. Through small group Bible studies, discipleship, and a mission trip to Ecuador in February 2026, she experienced meaningful growth in her faith and in living life on mission. Naomi first heard about the Wave program shortly after joining Calgary Navs, and at the time it was a definite no from her. But over time, God continued to draw her heart toward this kind of ministry, and now she is excited to serve at the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton this upcoming September!
