Executive Assistant, National Leadership Team
I joined The Navigators of Canada as the Executive Assistant to the National Leadership Team in May 2018. I provide administrative support to various projects related to the roles and responsibilities of the National Director and the National Leadership Team. I also assist Erwin Van Laar with development initiatives and Jeff Clochesy in the co-ordination of the National Internship Program. I am a detail-oriented and organizationally-minded person, and I am excited to use my gifting to serve The Navigators.
I first heard about The Navigators from upper-year staff while serving at Camp IAWAH. I made a point of connecting with the Carleton Navigators soon after I arrived in Ottawa.
I had a difficult, but successful first year in engineering and the support from fellow Navigator students and staff played a key role in that. The Navigators were instrumental in helping to significantly grow my faith in university. I graduated from Carleton University in 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts Honours in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience and Mental Health.
Nicki and I got married in August 2015. We have a passion for helping equip other young couples to thrive in their relationships. We love exploring creation while canoeing, hiking, swimming, skiing and skating. You can also find us eating ice cream any time of the year.
